Floor moldings are always attached to the wall, regardless of which method, never to the floor! Care should be taken that all floor coverings “work”, i.e. they react to influences from the environment and have a smaller or larger moment of contraction and expansion. This especially applies to the so-called floating floors (coverings that are mounted with a click system), therefore it is not good to fix the floor covering with moldings.
Some skirting models can be attached in several ways, e.g. with the help of supports and with the help of glue. The most modern way of mounting is with the help of rails that are an integral part of the molding (not purchased separately).
